Tasting notes
Nose: English toffee, toasted marshmallow, caramelized sugars and chalky fruit reminiscent of Smarties; deep tannins and subtle barrel funk provide structure; remarkable little ethanol heat
Finish: Peppery rye spice building steadily; marshmallow cream, vanilla custard and toasted sugar long after the sip; crescendos through the back half; impressive intensity without becoming drying
Palate: Dense layers of crème brûlée, caramelized marshmallow, brown sugar and creamy vanilla; robust mouth-coating texture; heavily oaked yet refined; tannins brighter than comparable American whiskeys
